and i'm sure you want to know..
i'm still working on getting paid for my little bike accident. i've talked to several lawyers now, and i'm also working with the organization walk/bike nashville who's goal is for nashville to be a safer place for bikers and walkers. they've been helping me out a lot. they're pretty cool. check it out if you haven't already. it may make you want to ride a bike and walk more often.

oh, and does anyone have a truck they would lend me tomorrow. i have some moving to do.

so i've been stripping my new bike and i took all of the stickers off and gave it a good rub down. now i just have to get this redneck insurance company to give me my money so i can buy some new parts for it. i'm sure you care.

i went and got me a daily value meal from subway. it was nice. go get one. 3.99 for a 6", chips and drink. today is turkey and ham.

now that my little belly is full i decided to hop around the internets. so..

i've been addicted to pandora for today and last night. if you don't know what it is, you just type in an artist or genre and it plays music related to that for as long as you want. sometimes it gives you music that is shit, but a lot of times it can be good. check it out.

here's some crazy sesame street stuff about Roy G. Biv with music from philip glass.

philip glass is a composer who does lots of crazy crazy music. if you would like to hear more you can find it here. kind of makes me uneasy.

so, i've been reading this book called What is the What by dave eggers. it's basically a creative nonfiction book about one of the Lost Boys and his story.
more than a year ago, i worked at the opryland hotel. if you have ever worked there , you know that the diversity of the countries people are from that work there is unbelievable. but, while i worked there i met a man from sudan who i found out was one of the lost boys. i was told that anytime he was asked about it he did not like to talk about it. but ever since then i have been interested in these "lost boys". finally i am understanding more about them and it is an amazing story.
but now i came across this movie called "god grew tired of us" which i think i will try to find today so i can watch it. it's about the lost boys. obviously.

well, here's the trailer and you should read the book, because dave eggers is a great author. sorry all of that was so jumbled. i can't process my thoughts very well today.

i don't think i've posted anything on keith shore on here yet. but i like his stuff a lot. it's very simple. and i like the colors.

40 dollar rug

i got a new planner for the year two-thousand eight. it's small and i put a sticker on it.
i'm listening to in rainbows again. i haven't listened to it enough.
my new saddle came in yesterday. so i'm going to put my bike together and go get it as soon as my clothes are dry.
my phone died. which doesn't really matter because it hasn't been letting me make any outgoing calls today.

okay now

one more for the day..

this is the best christmas decoration i have ever seen. sorry the pictures look like they are froma camera phone..

alright alright

i've got some more knits for ya.

Matie Trewe knitted the digestive system, as well as a penis cozy and a squid hat.

hansigurumi makes some cephalopods and other sorts of animals.

enough with the knitting.

Aya Tsukioka came up with a way to hide from stalkers in Japan. I'm not quite sure if it would actually work, but it's amazing. She designed a skirt that turns itself into a fullsize coke machine to hide in. carrie told me about this a couple of days ago and i happened to run across it today. here are some pictures.

oh.. paris has this bike transit system called Velib' where you can rent bicycles all around town for cheap and return them at anywhere you can get the bikes. i wish all large cities would do something like this. excercise, no gas, faster than walking, and no pollution.

one last thing.
come to the art crawl tomorrow night. it's free and you can get free booze too. support local artists and stuff.

and if you haven't listened to Akron/Family yet, then do it already.

teddy

Dave Cole does some really weird knitting art projects. I just ran across him for the first time, but one of his projects was great. It's a huge teddy bear knit out of fiberglass insulation.
i'm sure that was the worst thing ever to make.

i've got lots of other things i would like to post. some more knitting things too. but i'm hungry. so i'll do it later.

happy new year.
