never have i ever

i haven't had the highest spirits lately. being limited on physical activities can do a number on you. i've been trying to socialize and get out, but i just can't get into it. i can find words to keep converstations going. and i don't like it.

i'm going to keep trying though.

tomorrow night i am going to the nashville sounds game whether you are or not. and it's "thirsty thursday" which means cheap beer. this weekend is the arts and crafts fair in the park. movies in the park have started as well. bark in the park day is saturday in lebanon. i want to take the train there and hang out with all the pups. there is also mexican wrestling at agave with midgets. who wouldn't want to see that?

i also really want to go see m.i.a. anybody want to go with me? or is anyone else going that i can go with? it's expensive, but i really want to go.. holy fuck is opening as well and is supposed to be a great show.

i will also probably be at the rooney show. why? because it's rooney. and i haven't seen them play since i was like fifteen.

last but not least. i will see gwar this time.
even if i have to go alone.

i haven't run across much on the internet lately that's very interesting. so im just going to show you some cool photos from the fecal photo of the day..

click em if you want

hospitalized for approaching perfection

vh1 is going to air a live radiohead performance on May 3rd. lots from in rainbows and some oldies too. seems kind of cool.. more here.

i also saw a new def leppard video today featuring tim mcgraw.
it was pretty ridiculous. it won't let me embed it from you tube so just search it. the song title is "nine lives".

but you can watch this one instead if you want..
i love it when lead singers hold on to the guitarist. i also love one armed drummers.

also i will only be seen in tank tops this summer. unless.. i am wearing a tshirt. er

pixel art is getting pretty trendy. but i like this one..
that sounded like i don't like pixel art because it's trendy.. hm.

thursday night is thirsty thursdays at the sounds game.
cheap beer and shitty baseball.. who's in??

everyone's going.
maybe

long time coming

i'm finally getting some new music. i've feel like i've been out of the loop. but today i am getting new music. new to me at least.

unfortunately i am doing it illegally. but the ones i genuinely like i will buy. promise.

the format - dog problems (just don't have it on my computer)
no kids - come into my house
clem snide - end of love
the long winters - when i pretend to fall
phantom planet - raise the dead
son, ambulance
the like

other artists i'm listening to...

grizzly bear
department of eagles
headphones
imaginary baseball league
scout niblett
the soft drugs

have any other suggestions for good summer music?

anybody going to see m.i.a.?

stat

sometimes i like to think about how our quick advances in technology are affecting us these days. this video made me do that i guess.
it's not the best video, but some interesting things in it. eh
and i like statistics
for several reasons

"This short video summarizes some of the most important characteristics of students today - how they learn, what they need to learn, their goals, hopes, dreams, what their lives will be like, and what kinds of changes they will experience in their lifetime. Created by Michael Wesch in collaboration with 200 students at Kansas State University."

excuse me

just got back from the doctor. he checked me out and said im healing great. got a new cast on and all of my stitches out. and i'm aloud to extend my elbow now. no physical therapy, just home excercises to do myself.

i have to get a root canal tomorrow morning on one of my front teeth so i can get my caps put on my teeth so i don't look so ridiculous.

all is going well though.

here are a few things for you...

okay i changed my mind. too much work for one hand, maybe later.

ouchy

so, i have nothing else to do. i'm going to post about my accident with my left hand. fun.

here's the update for you.. i was riding my bike coming to an intersection about a block away from hillsboro village. as i approached the stop sign, a car(1) coming in my direction failed to stop at his stop sign and breezed right through it. unfortunately the cross street did not have a stop sign. as the car(1) came into the intersection, a car(2) coming down the cross street plowed into the back side of the other car(1) causing it to slide directly into me. i got to see pictures of where i hit and i made a pretty huge dent and broke out the rear side window.

the next thing i remember is laying face down on the ground and lifting my head to look at what just hit me. quickly realizing i was hurt much more than my initial thought. i was ready to stand up until all of the pain hit me. so i just looked at the car wide-eyed, looked down, then spit blood and teeth as though i had forgotten how to spit.

thankfully there were two doctors walking home from vanderbilt on the same block.
next was dozens of jumbled faces asking me question after question. the feeling was surreal. everything happened so slowly yet so quickly.

i was whisked away in an ambulance to the emergency room and spent most of my night there getting stitches and x-rays.

injuries:
stitches in my chin, arm, hand, and leg. (i am told they were pretty disgusting and opened up wide, even the stitchin' an thought so.)
fractured right wrist
torn ligaments and chipped bone on my right elbow (the doc said it was from almost dislocating my elbow)
and three chipped front teeth

i've gotten some of my stitches out and will get the rest out next week.
i have a half cast on for my wrist and will keep it on for several weeks.
i believe i will have some physical therapy for my elbow to get it back to normal. right now i can't bend it but a few inches each way. it's pretty much stuck at ninety degrees.
i am due for a root canal on one of my front teeth next week. this is because it was slightly pushed back, damaging the nerve. then i will have crowns put on two of them and have the third molded.

thats about it.

the past week has been hell working with lawyers, getting doctor appointments, dealing with insurance companies, filling out forms, and having people poke and prod at me everyday.

thankfully my best friend miss carrie denton has taken care of me and driven me around to everywhere. i especially wouldn't have made it the first few days without her, because i could barely move.

so as soon as i can get these pictures off this camera, i will post them. and you can see my new smile.

ps
not looking for sympathy here. everyone just seems to want to know the specifics. and i'm bored out of my mind.

edit:

one picture..

here's to your health

i've got work in the morning.
hope the rain stops by then, because almost everyday i have to work it rains.

but i get paid. and i should get paid from my other boss too.

lots of internets, reading, tetris, and tv lately. and yard work too.

got my compost pile started the other day. and i will be planting my vegetable garden soon.

so anyone who wants some vegetables, i will have plenty to spare.
any suggestions on veggies?
so far: tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, carrots
maybe sweet potato?

i'm still trying to clean up my shop so i can get some things started in there. but i need to borrow a shop vac to move on any further.

doesn't seem to be much going on this weekend either. i want to go see fons at springwater sunday night. but that's all i know.

??

i'll stop rambling now.
maybe a good documentary is on the television.
